Professional & Workplace Resilience

Workshop Details & Registration

Are you and your colleagues struggling to thrive at work?

Do you and your colleagues feel overwhelmed and/or burnt out, at times?

Do you find that your commitment to your professional role takes its toll on your personal wellbeing?

Developed by Michelle Bihary, these programs are specifically designed for professionals and leaders who want to ensure that personal and professional wellbeing is protected from the professional and organisational demands.

These programs also address the responsibility workplaces have to create a psychologically healthy workplace environment that supports the wellbeing of the workforce.

The program draws on evidence-based research and contemporary wisdom from neuroscience, emotional intelligence, strengths and positive psychology, leadership development, as well as stress, energy management and mindfulness.

  • Key areas covered in the Professional Resilience® program include::

    • identify deeper understanding, language and frameworks to reflect on the stressors common within the health and community sector

    • explore the Thriving – Surviving – Overwhelmed continuum – how to achieve and maintain a thriving workstyle

    • examine practical strategies to manage stress, emotional triggers and ways to apply self-leadership to optimise performance

    • apply neuroscience, neuroplasticity and a strength focus to build an optimistic and resilient mindset

    • explore practical tools for self-assessment and self-monitoring

    • address organisational and contextual factors in workplace resilience

    • reflect on practical application to team resilience and wellbeing

This workshop provides professionals with a well-deserved chance to consider their own needs to build practical strategies to strengthen professional sustainability. It will consider the ways in which frameworks can guide us to deepen self - care, strengthen professional wellbeing and prevent burnout. Opportunities for self-reflection and discussion will complement the presentation, as well as the chance for some laughter and humour.

Participants will be encouraged to assess their level of self-care and develop a clearer framework for sustainability and avoid burnout. Although the workshop explores the overlap of professional and personal issues, the participants will not be expected to be personally revealing.

  • Comprehensive Workbook and Resources

As part of the training, you will receive a comprehensive workbook. It contains all of the workshop material, practical tools and frameworks. After the workshop you will be provided an extensive list of resources, references, assessments and links to some excellent videos. These are to help you utilise and consolidate the important concepts covered in the training which you can share with colleagues and your workplace.

Embedding Program 12 - month resource

In addition to the training itself, an embedding program is included as part of the package. The embedding program consists of 25 emails sent fortnightly over a 12 month period to remind participants of the key learnings from the training, in short bite sized ways. Participants can sign up for the embedding program at anytime after the program.
