Leading yourself and professional development

Self-leadership is an intrapersonal relationship. We all have an internal relationship with ourselves that, like all relationships, has unique attributes, strengths, weaknesses, and dynamics. This intrapersonal relationship reflects how we treat and relate to ourselves. Taking some time to sit with ourselves and consider how we want to lead ourselves is an empowering action.

One of the attributes of self-leadership is your approach to learning - are you open to it in all that you do and proactive in following through?

Professional development is something that is mandated across the health industry - CPD points must be acquired each year, but there are some who relish this side of the industry and those who find it a chore.

Understanding the role of ongoing learning to our brain functionality and acceptance and promotion of it within a team can be as effective as the technical/professional skills you are learning.

Taking personal responsibility for our energy, performance, wellbeing, and openness to learning ensures we function optimally and have a more positive impact on others.

So as we head into the end of 2021 (and for many out of lockdowns) how will you lead yourself going forward and what do you want to learn to enhance your professional development?

If you would like to have a 15 minute conversation with me please book yourself into my diary here.
